  1. Much smaller and less encumbered than this. A writer, after all, would be crushed by a sense of futility glancing at all the classic competition.
    I’ve long liked the idea of a small shed near a hilltop or beside a lake, but my third-floor attic studio and the loft of the Red Barn seem to be working quite well for me these days.
    As for reading, let’s not overlook outdoors in the shade every summer. Say something resembling a patio.

  2. I enjoy being surrounded by the classics. Yes, overwhelming at times but they push me to one day have my work next to them. Small spaces never really suited me, I feel to confined and thus my writing constricts to mimic my surroundings. I do agree with your reading location. I would prefer a second floor balcony overlooking a small pond that received a few hours of sunlight a day.
